The return trip to Phoenix was on Monday, 12 August 2013 via Philadelphia, an airport I hadn't visited in 10 years.
The flight to Philadelphia was the only flight I had an assigned window seat. It was near the front of the wing, which afforded me a nice view of the wing-mounted GE engine on the starboard side. It was mostly cloudy during our flight to PHL and we landed to the south.
Once at PHL I staked out a spot at my departure gate do so some airplane photography through the very crappy windows. Just before my flight I found a window without the annoying properties anti-glare...too bad I hadn't discovered that window three hours earlier...
