For Christmas Break 1976, I got to fly to California from Denver to visit my Dad and this is my first I can remember. In fact, I remember calling United ahead of time to find out what kind of airplane I'd be flying on.
I do not know what color scheme the 737-200 was in, but the AirNikon photo below shows a United 737-222 at SFO several years after I made the flight.
