Thanksgiving week of 2016 was an epic week of flying for me. I made the flight reservations two months in advance so I was really anticipating the events of this week and really hoping it
would all come together. The Thanksgiving week/weekend is historically a very busy travel week in the U.S. but truth be told...I was venturing outside of the U.S.A. by air for the first time in almost
20 years.
Monday the 21st at SFO and dawn brought a beautiful blue-sky day...quite the contrast of the gloom that was 24 hours ago. I tracked the inbound Singapore Airlines flight #32 from Singapore
and it was operating on time with 9V-SME.
Below is my photo of 9V-SME taxiing to the gate at SFO following its ultra-long haul service nonstop from Singapore. Pretty soon I'd be aboard 9V-SME heading to Singapore. Yep - I'm flying to Singapore for the day
just to fly on a new type (A350) on a very long range route. I'll be arriving the evening of the 22nd and departing back to SFO via Hong Kong late in the afternoon of the 23rd.
Below the photo is the FlightAware screenshot of the flight.
