After my brief stay at Singapore Changi Airport I was ready for my flight back to SFO via HKG on SQ 2. This flight operates predominately at night after a dusk takeoff from Singapore
so there is minimal opportunity to plane watch at HKG during the brief stopover. I was however able to see a few planes parked at nearby terminals including my first Finnair A350.
This flight was also my first time flying in a 777-300 so it was nice to be able to check that one off my list. I was unable to get a decent photo of 9V-SWU at SIN prior to boarding but thankfully
the gate at HKG provided that opportunity.

The stopover at HKG on this flight is a pain in the ass in that everyone has to disembark, go through Hong Kong immigration and security and then wait around to reboard the flight.
During the taxi for departure I was amazed to see so many airplanes sitting on the ramp. I managed a few photos out of the window of the plane...I'd definitely like to return to HKG for some
awesome airplane photography.

Once onboard I settled in for the long flight across the Pacific.

I had a different seat on each flight but only four rows apart and on the same side. During our nightime descent and downwind to SFO we flew to the west of the city of San Francisco and the
Bay Area...it was an awesome sight to see all the familiar landmarks from the air at night. I'd never experienced this before despite a couple previous Trans Pacific flights to SFO.
