I booked my return to Denver via LAX so I could fly on a Braniff DC-8-62 between SFO and LAX. The Series 62 has always been my favorite version of the DC-8 and I'm greatful I've been able to fly on several of them.
I didn't get photos of either plane on flight day but I do have photos I've taken at other times. Additionally, this is the my only known occasion of flying on two DC-8s in the same day.
Below is my photo of N802BN at SFO on May 26, 1980. The United DC-8-61 departing Denver Stapleton was photographed in June 1979.
