After flying aboard Delta Air Lines 717 N717JL to LAX I dutifully strolled to the Tom Bradley Int'l Terminal to wait for my flight to Seoul. I booked Korean Air for my trans-Pacific journey so I could fly aboard a 747-8i on the return
trip from Seoul to SFO. But to get there I had to fly to Seoul and then to Bangkok Thailand then back to Seoul. When I booked the trip on KE's website it was cheaper to fly beyond Seoul than just the roundtrip to Seoul. To that end I chose
Bangkok since I'd never been there before. Truthfully I haven't been to many Asian airports and since I so adore the Thai International Airways colors and fleet composition, why not Bangkok so I can view those beautiful planes?
When booking this trip I selected flights that would be operating by different types: A380, A330, 777, and 747-8. With luck all the flights will operate as advertised and I can add four new airline/plane combinations to my logbook.
Below is my photo of Korean Air A380-861 arriving gate 152 as KE 017 from Seoul Incheon Int'l Airport.
