I made plans for the 4th of July weekend to fly the westbound dinner flight on Virgin America's A321neo service from Washington DC (DCA) to San Francisco. To get there I used Frontier miles
to get from PHX to DCA via Denver with an overnight in Denver. It was one of the options, so I booked it. When I made the reservations I was happy to see the upgauge to A321 on this flight. I hadn't flown in a Frontier A321 yet this year and with a few new deliveries
I was hoping to get a new tail.
Below is my photo of Frontier A321 N718FR pulling into gate 20 in Phoenix while operating #1853 from Detroit.

Once onboard I noticed a jetBlue flight pulling up to a gate and it struck me as odd...it was indeed an A321...a jetBlue type not seen in PHX. This turned out to be a diversion into PHX on flight #89 JFK-SAN.
