This short one-day trip to Denver was to see Jeff Lynne's ELO in concert. I'd purchased 1st-row VIP ticket in late 2017 when they became available so I'd been anticipating this trip for some time.
As luck would have it, my originally-scheduled early Southwest departure was cancelled. Before I read the email that they'd rebooked me, I'd found a suitable flight on American that would get me there in time to catch the train into Denver and walk to the Pepsi Center. I kept the Southwest money in the bank from the cancelled flight. Besides, the AA flight was yet another A321 :-)
So instead of having to get up with the roosters I was able to sleep in a bit and leisurely make my way to Sky Harbor for the flight to Denver.
