Denver was buzy digging out of one of the worst snowstorms
in Denver history. Stapleton Airport was barely operating but the point is it was open. The skies were blue but only a fraction of flights were going. Luckily, I'd changed the original
flight my In-Laws had booked for us to a flight that was supposed to operate with a DC-8-71. The original flight was one that was cancelled but our booked flight was coming in from D.C.
When it landed, they'd changed equipment to a DC-10 and after a lengthy delay, we finally departed DEN for LAX.
