Our company's spring TDY came earlier this year than normal...and it's a good thing. As I type this page just after midnight
on 1 April 2020 (no fooling) Arizona has been under the "stay-at-home" order enacted by Governor Ducey since 5pm yesterday.
Anyway, our TDY was to MCAS Miramar near San Diego, CA. We'd attempted Miramar TDYs in the past but this is the first one we've actually done. It was
a great TDY from my perspective despite the fact I took nearly zero photos of based aircraft. The Flying Leathernecks Aviation Museum on base
was quite good with a nice selection of aircraft. I got to visit Legoland California for the first time ever on the first Sunday we had off.
For the TDY, I picked up a co-worker and drove us to the airport. I left my car in the long-term West Economy lot for the entire TDY so I'd have
a ride home after flying home.
After getting to PHX I cleared TSA on the north side and made my way to the window I typically sit at to charge my phone and take photos
of aircraft on the taxiway. After photographing N7884G on the taxiway I meandered to my gate to wait while watching planes on the south
side.
Below is my photo of N7884G at PHX arriving prior to my flight to SAN.
