Since beginning working on this list, my first confirmed sighting of anticrepuscular rays was in the early evening hours of July 23, 2010. I was driving east on the highway while a spectacular sunset was occuring behind me, complete with beautiful crepuscular rays. Ahead of me and slightly to the right the moon was rising and to the left of the moon were several fairly-well defined anticrepuscular rays. I hoped they would persist for just a little while so I could stop and get a cell-phone photo of them. Soon, I was travelling in a southerly direction so I was able to snap a couple of photos out of the window. This is the best one of the bunch.
