Instead of driving back to Denver with Martin, I decided to fly to California for a week to visit my Dad. I got a pretty decent fare on Eastern so I booked a night connecting service via Atlanta. The first leg was on a 727-200 and after a brief connection in Atlanta I rode in an A300 to SFO.

Below is a Frank C. Duarte photo of N203EA at LAX a couple years before I flew on her. N203EA was actually the very first Airbus airplane I spotted, at LAX, in April 1979.
